Welcome to this Lene Marlin site. It is built by a girl from Hong Kong. The site was started on 19 Feb 2000 and it has been modified for numerous times. Why? The answer is so simple--I, the webmaster, wanted to make a site for my idol when I was first addicted to the amazing singer Lene. I really couldn't help myself starting the work as soon as possible...however, it's only the first time for me to build a site. So, I try my best to do it while I'm still learning the site building skill. During the process, I have so many new ideas and I'm never satisfied with my existing work. As a result, you'll notice that the appearance of this site is keep changing...sorry for any inconvenience caused!!
When I was deciding the name of this site, the word "stage" emerged in my mind. Though I've never seen Lene performs on the stage so far, I thought Lene on the stage is her most charming shot. As you can see on the right, (this is the fave picture of the webmaster) Lene looks indeed wonderful, singing with the guitar in her hands. So, "Lene Marlin On Stage" became the title of this website. |

| In March, the I
decided to make Chinese be the second language here. Then, I named this
site "The Voice From Norway" in Chinese--挪威的聲音
(pronounced as " nor - wai - dik - sing - yum" in Cantonese)
There're several reason for naming this:
1. The idea was originally from the name of a Japanese novel "The Jungle of Norway"(挪威的森林) 2. The forth Chinese character of the title is pronounced as "sing", which is the same as the pronunciation of the word "star" in Cantonese. Lene surely is a brilliant Star!! 3. Lene's voice is so perfect that it's the most beautiful voice from Norway for me!! After giving a Chinese name for the site, the original name "Lene Marlin On Stage" remained as the sub-title.
As I've mentioned above, Chinese, my native language is the second language of this site while English serves as the main channel since I'd like visitors from most part of the world can read the pages. For certain sections, Chinese is the main language coz I feel there's enough information written in English on other Lene's sites. Besides, I really wish to introduce Lene to more people in my city (Hong Kong is a small city only!!) A familiar language is better for this sake.
Kelvin: Thanks for building and sending the computer for me, it's a cool present for my 19th birthday. Without it this site will never be possible. Also thx for scanning the images for me. Alex: Thanks for introducing Lene to me, it's you who sent me the first Lene's song. And thx for making the stars for me.
